Kicking Off My 1440p Gaming Setup – Need Advice!

I'm looking to upgrade my entire PC for a 1440p gaming experience and have decided to pass my current setup to my 16-year-old brother-in-law who's eager to start gaming. My current rig includes a Ryzen 5 3600, an RX 5700, and 16GB of 3200MHz RAM. I'm budgeting around $1500 for the new build and planning to spend up to $2000 total, including a new monitor and wireless mouse. In addition to gaming, I use my PC for some light work in Fusion 360. I'm really excited for games like Battlefield 6 and GTA 6 in the future. I've heard the 5070Ti is a solid GPU in my budget, but with the introduction of AM5 and DDR5, I'm feeling a bit lost. I'm currently motivated to get started since it's tax-free week in Ohio and Microcenter is just a short drive away! Any advice on components to consider?

Check out this build I put together for around $1500 on PCPartPicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fg2G4p. You might want to go with a budget IPS monitor instead of an OLED to keep costs down; you could even squeeze in a 7800X3D or a 9800X3D within your $2000 total. This would be an excellent choice for your needs!

I was leaning towards IPS too because I've seen mixed reviews on OLED. Thanks for the recommendation!
