I'm about to build my first PC tomorrow and I'm feeling a mix of excitement and nerves! Here's what I have planned: I'm using an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X processor, paired with a Thermalright Peerless Assassin CPU cooler, and a Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX motherboard. For memory, I'm going with Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB DDR5, and I'm setting up a 2 TB Crucial P310 NVMe SSD for storage. The graphics will be handled by an ASRock Steel Legend Radeon RX 9070 XT. My case is the Phanteks XT PRO, and I've chosen a be quiet! 750W fully modular PSU. I've watched tons of videos and have a pretty good idea of the process, but if anyone has last-minute advice or specific tips about my build, I'd love to hear it!

One helpful tip: start building on the box your motherboard came in! It makes it easier to plug everything in before transferring it to the case. And don’t forget to orient your PSU correctly for optimal airflow!
Honestly, I love your setup! Just remember that it might take longer than expected, so don't rush. When I built my first PC, I started in the late afternoon and ended up finishing around 10 pm, but it was worth it. Also, check your manuals before plugging in any cables to avoid forcing them where they don’t fit!
The CPU socket is more scared of you than you are of it! Just take your time, and remember to breathe. You'll do great! Also, make sure to test everything out of the case first before final assembly; it makes the process way smoother.
Haha, I feel you! I was terrified of the CPU installation too, but trust me, it’s a lot easier than it looks. Just double-check your manual as you go!
You might be okay with the BIOS as long as you have a newer motherboard. Check if there’s a Ryzen 9000 Ready label on the box. More often than not, new boards support these CPUs right out of the box, but it’s always good to be cautious!
I looked, and sadly, mine didn’t have that label either, so I’ll be updating it.
Looking good! Just make sure to remove all plastic covers from your components and double-check that you have all cables connected properly. I used an iFixit kit and it made things so much easier. Also, the thermal paste that comes with the cooler can be subpar—I'd suggest getting a better one if you can. Have fun with it!
Great tips, thanks! I was a bit worried about the thermal paste.
Just a heads up on your SSD: the P310 uses QLC flash, which isn’t the best in terms of durability. Look into other drives with TLC flash for better performance and longevity. You want your build to last!

Thanks! I plan to do a test run first to avoid any hiccups later.
