I'm trying to switch from Windows to Linux Mint 22.3. I ran it from a USB and I really liked it, so I decided to do a full installation. Everything seemed to go smoothly until the install failed at the end. Right now, I'm stuck running Linux from the USB as a temporary solution until I can get the full installation working. Any ideas on what might have gone wrong?

Have you tried creating new installation media? Sometimes, the USB can get corrupted, leading to installation issues. If you can, try reformatting the USB and re-installing Mint on it before giving the installation another go. Good luck!
If you’re using a standalone setup on a 250GB SSD plus other drives, make sure that there are no existing partitions on that SSD that could cause conflicts. Partition errors can often lead to installation issues, so you might need to check that everything is cleared out properly before trying again.
It sounds frustrating! When the installation failed, did it show any specific error message? Knowing what it said can help troubleshoot the issue better. Also, how are you trying to install it—are you using a standalone setup or are you trying to dual-boot with Windows? Let us know!
