Hey everyone,
I'm in a tough spot and really need your help. I've been trying to access my Microsoft account that's been active for 20 years, and suddenly I'm locked out. This account is super important to me because it's linked to all my accounts like banking, shopping, Xbox, and streaming services.
Today, when I tried to log in through my browser, I got hit with a message saying, 'You've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect password.' I know I haven't messed up my password—I've been using the same one for a year now. I've rarely run into this issue before, but I've noticed some strange login attempts on my account lately.
Microsoft suggested changing my password using a trusted device, which I did on my phone where I'm still logged in. But after changing it, I got logged out of every single account linked to Microsoft and I can't get back in using either my old or new password. Despite having two-step verification via my phone, I can't access that either due to this lockout, which feels like it's been triggered by some bots trying to log in from other countries.
I've lost access to all my important stuff, including photo storage apps, my Xbox account with hundreds of dollars' worth of games, and vital documents related to my mortgage and banking. I'm really hoping someone can offer a solution without making me wait for 30 days!

I can't believe this process is so messed up. Whoever designed it really missed the mark. It’s a nightmare when everything is linked to one account, and it’s almost impossible to get back in!
I'm dealing with the same issue. It's frustrating, and I've been searching for solutions, but nothing seems to work. I feel for you! Have you tried contacting Xbox support directly? They might be able to help you out.
I just put in a request for them to call me back. It might be the only way to actually talk to someone about this!

Right? My entire online identity is tied to Microsoft too and now I’m locked out. Something has to change!
