My gaming chair is falling apart and I definitely won't be getting another one of those. I'm on the hunt for a new chair that's breathable and won't make me feel like I'm sitting on a hot seat, especially since I already live in a hot place. I absolutely want to avoid leather chairs! My budget is tight; I can't spend over $1000, so around $600-$700 would be my max. I need something comfortable enough to sit in for most of the day because I don't just game on it. Any advice on what to buy?

It really depends on your spine—everyone’s different! There’s no way to tell if a chair is right for you without sitting in it.
Used Herman Millers often go for around $400, which is a steal! I'd suggest visiting one of their stores to get fitted. That way, you know exactly what size fits you the best and how to adjust it if you buy one used.
For great value, definitely consider the Herman Miller Aeron. You can find used ones in great condition for under $600. If you prefer new, I’ve heard good reviews about the IKEA MARKUS chair.
Try sitting in a few chairs at Staples; it really helps to see what feels good for you. Comfort is super subjective.
I’ve heard good things about the Corsair TC100; my brother has one and finds it comfy. It's priced around $300.
Definitely look for a used Steelcase, Herman Miller or Haworth. Websites like Facebook Marketplace usually have a ton of options if you're in a busy area. The Leap V2 is a solid choice and works well for most people. Just avoid Staples or IKEA chairs for your main setup unless it's the only option you have!
You say you’re poor but willing to spend $600 on a chair? Seems a bit contradictory, don’t you think? I usually game on a chair I found in the trash, and it gets the job done just fine.
I recently scored a second-hand Herman Miller Sayl for about $200, and it's been one of my best purchases ever! While it's designed for smaller folks, you can definitely find more options under $600 if you shop used. Just be sure to check the condition since they last for decades!
True! The Sayl and Aeron are different, but both have their own quirks. My wife finds the Aeron's frame uncomfortable, while I'm not a huge fan of the Sayl's back support. It really depends on your body type!
