I'm on the hunt for a display manager that can showcase my desktop itself as the background instead of using a static image or video. I'm considering setting up auto-login on boot and adding a command to Hyprland to lock the desktop while the display manager is shown. I couldn't find much on this. The closest option I found is Hyprlock, but it only blurs the desktop, which doesn't quite meet my needs since it's not a full display manager. I'm looking for something like a setup I found online that illustrates what I'm aiming for.

That screenshot you linked shows a lock screen, not a display manager. You might want to clarify that you're looking for a display manager that can do what you're showing in your example.
So, if I understand you right, you want the computer to log you in automatically and then show the actual desktop as the background for your display manager? Sounds cool, but I'm not sure if many display managers support that feature out of the box. It's more common to have a blurred or static background.
Actually, I was talking about setting the display manager after booting so the desktop appears in the background. Hyprlock can do that, but it seems you want a proper display manager with that feature.

Yeah, I want that display style, but set up with a display manager instead.
