I'm juggling multiple projects and have secure laptops from different clients that I need to switch between multiple times throughout the day. Currently, I have three laptops and my personal PC, which is a bit overwhelming. I'm using a basic two-port KVM switch that I picked up for around $25 with a single large HDMI monitor. I've noticed that KVM switches for three devices can be quite pricey, starting from around $160 and going up to $300-$400. Am I overlooking something? Is there a better option out there?

There are plenty of budget KVM switches available on Amazon for under $50, especially for setups with just one HDMI monitor. Check out the AILVLVNG model, which is a solid choice for switching between up to four PCs at 4K 60Hz without breaking the bank!
Look for KVM switches with EDID emulation; they keep your monitor settings intact, which means no delays when switching back and forth. This tech is why there's such a price range for these devices, as not all switches have this feature. It can seriously enhance your workflow!
I had no clue about that! I might consider a cheaper option first, but if I run into issues later, I'll know why.
Just a heads up: it's really about what you prefer. In some cases, having no EDID emulation can be beneficial if you want your apps to stack on your main display when switching. But if you've only got one monitor, it usually doesn't impact you much.

Here's a link to a good option: [Click here!](https://www.amazon.com/Selector-Computers-Keyboard-Printer-Including/dp/B092PWBV1D). It's one of the cheapest reliable choices you can find.
