I've finally decided to make the switch from Windows to Linux, but my knowledge is pretty limited—mostly I know that some popular YouTubers use it. I have a Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 with an 11th Gen Intel Core i5, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. I want to keep using it for some old games on low settings. I'm looking for a lightweight Linux distro that has a Windows-like appearance so that I can install it and mostly forget about it. Also, since my laptop has a touchscreen and a fingerprint sensor, how difficult will it be to get those working?

You don't really need a super lightweight distro; just pick one you like! But if you're set on something user-friendly that looks familiar to Windows, I’d suggest trying Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop. It’s straightforward and should suit your needs.
I see what you mean, but I’ve been watching YouTube videos on different options, and it’s a bit overwhelming. I just want something that feels stable and isn't intimidating to use. Any other recommendations?
