I recently scored an awesome deal on a new gaming PC with some solid specs: a 5070 Ti graphics card, a Ryzen 7 7700X processor, and 64GB of 6000 MT/s RAM. I'm on the hunt for a higher resolution monitor, with my budget being around 650 CAD before tax. I already own a 240Hz 1080p monitor, but for visually stunning single-player games like Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, and Red Dead Redemption, I'd love something with either better brightness, higher pixel count, or more vibrant colors (like OLED). Burn-in isn't a major issue for me since I can manage the monitor usage and store it away when not in use for gaming or movie watching. Any recommendations?

How important is framerate to you while gaming? You can find some decent 1440p monitors within your budget, but keep in mind that many of the newer games might struggle to hit 240Hz at that resolution without reducing the settings significantly. Personally, I aim for around 180 FPS with similar specs.

I usually stick to the 100 FPS range. Honestly, the benefits of 'high refresh rate' seem to dwindle after a certain point, especially since I already have a 240Hz monitor for competitive games.
