My RTX 2080 OC is failing badly with major artifacting and crashes when under load. Unfortunately, it's out of warranty now and I can't use it anymore. I'm a student with a tight budget and really need my PC for gaming this summer. The secondhand GPU market in Switzerland is terrible, so I'm looking to buy new with around 500 CHF (which is about 560 USD). I'm considering the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB OC, but I'm aware it might not deliver a significant upgrade. Just wondering if that's a good choice or if I should be looking at alternatives. For your reference, I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and have a compact ITX build, so I'm limited in my options when it comes to larger cards.

Have you checked the price for the 9060 XT 16GB in your area? It could be a decent budget choice - it's not much slower than the 5060 Ti and is often cheaper. Should be a noticeable upgrade from your 2080 too, and it runs on a x16 PCIe interface, which is a plus.
If you're willing to stretch your budget, consider the 5070. It's faster and could be well worth the investment for your gaming needs in the summer.
Just keep in mind that the 9070 XT is even faster by around 15% than the 5070, if you find one for a decent price.
The AMD RX 7800 XT 16GB is a great option! That's what I went for after checking the prices on 9070s in Canada, and they were far too expensive. I snatched up the 7800 XT for around 450 USD, and it’s been running smoothly.
I totally agree! For the price, the 7800 XT is a fantastic deal right now.
Honestly, if the 9060 XT is around 300 CHF, that's a solid pick. I’m also deciding between this and the 5070!
