Looking for a Super Quiet Wireless Keyboard

Hi everyone! I'm currently working from home and often find myself needing to work late at night. The problem is that my kids are really light sleepers, and my current 'quiet keyboard' from Amazon still makes some noise—especially some clicky wiggle sounds because of loose edges, which I can't really describe well. I've tried a 'bequiet' keyboard, but it sounds just as noisy as the cheaper one. I'm hoping to find a wireless keyboard that is completely silent, or possibly some recommendations for a combination of products that would let me switch keys myself. Ideally, I'd like something around $100. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

There are mechanical keyboards with silent switches and good mounting systems that can be very quiet, but they're usually over $100. Most people seem to be suggesting membrane keyboards for your needs. An example could be the Boba U4 Switches if you're interested in that route, but it might not fit your budget.

You might want to consider going for a membrane keyboard instead of a more expensive model. They tend to be quieter. You could check out this one: [Keychron B6 Pro](https://www.amazon.com/Keychron-B6-Pro-Ultra-Thin-Connection/dp/B0D53P4PBY/).

If you're okay with a membrane keyboard, I really like the MX Keys for work. It usually goes on sale for under $100, and it's pretty quiet!

Thanks for the tip! I've heard about the MX Keys before, I'll definitely check it out!

Logitech's MX Keys is a great option—it has a similar quietness to corporate laptop keyboards, which are generally pretty quiet. I wouldn’t recommend venturing into custom mechanical keyboards unless you really want to dive deep into the tech, since sound issues can crop up even with supposed silent switches.

Have you thought about creating a 'noise floor' in your workspace? A small fan or a white noise machine can help mask the sounds of keyboard typing, making it less noticeable for your kids.
