Hey everyone! I could really use some help here. My Intel Core i9 13900KF is seriously struggling and I've been dealing with a lot of crashing lately. I'm thinking about swapping it out for something that'll really make the most of my RTX 4090.
I'd prefer not to replace my motherboard if I can help it, but I'm also wary about getting another Intel chip given my current issues. I'm open to suggestions for a replacement CPU and potentially a motherboard as well.
Price isn't a problem for me; I'm just looking for something as powerful, if not better, than the Intel Core i9 13900KF. My PC is mainly for gaming, so productivity isn't a priority.
Lately, I've been looking into the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and the ASUS ROG STRIX X870 motherboard, but I'm worried I'm just getting the most expensive options without knowing if they're the best fit. I want something that can handle gaming like a champ without getting into the whole

Honestly, if gaming is your only focus, the 9950X3D might be overkill. The 9800X3D matches the gaming performance of the 9950X3D but comes at a lower price. You could also go for a B850 motherboard, which is good for overclocking without the higher price tag of the X870 boards. They're very capable and might save you some cash!
You should definitely consider this combo; it’ll be amazing for gaming! For the motherboard, I picked a solid and reasonably priced one.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll check it out! 🙂
I keep seeing the 9800X3D mentioned. Is it a bad idea to just get another Intel Core i9 13900KF? I feel like I've lost trust in it after all these issues.
