Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my Omen 25L PC with a new GeForce RTX 5060ti GPU and a PSU. I'm planning to build my own PC eventually and I want to reuse these components. However, I'm a bit lost on where to start when it comes to selecting a good CPU and motherboard. I've put together a list of potential parts on PCPartPicker, but I'm not sure about the motherboard I've chosen. I'd love to get any suggestions you have! Also, I'd like to ensure that my old 2.5" SATA SSD can still be used, or if I should just upgrade my 1TB M.2 to 2TB instead. Currently, I have an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 in my HP Omen. Thanks for any help or tips!

What's your budget looking like? Are you thinking about making the jump to AM5? By the way, do you have a MicroCenter nearby?
If you're upgrading, I recommend going with an AM5 setup, like the 7600X or 9600X, which would pair nicely with your current GPU. As for the case, PSU, and SSD, you’ve made good choices! The CPU cooler you've picked should also work with those CPUs. You won’t have any issue fitting your 2.5" SATA SSD into any motherboard you choose; they all come with SATA ports. I would suggest looking for a B650 or B850 ATX board. Let me know which country you're in and if you need WiFi and Bluetooth! Also, for RAM, aim for 2x16GB of DDR5 at 6000MHz CL30 or 32; that's going to give you great performance. Lastly, consider if you need extra fans, and you’ll be set!
I’m in the US, and yes, WiFi and Bluetooth would be necessary for me. Thanks for clarifying about the SSD compatibility!
Unfortunately, there isn’t a MicroCenter close to me. About my budget, I’ve spent around $600 so far on the GPU, RAM, and PSU. I'd like to keep it under $600 more, but I can go over a bit if needed (including the cost of an OS key).
