I'm planning to upgrade my aging gaming PC and would love some guidance on what parts to focus on. Here are my current specifications:
- **Motherboard:** A320M PRO-VH Plus
- **RAM:** 32GB DDR4
- **SSD:** Yes
- **GPU:** RTX 2060 Super
- **CPU:** Ryzen 5 2600X
- **PSU:** 800W
- **Monitor:** 1080p
- **Budget:** $300 or lower for a new GPU.
I'm primarily looking to upgrade my GPU first since it's my main bottleneck, followed by the CPU later. I noticed the 5060 8GB isn't too much more expensive than the 4060 or 3060, and even though it's PCIe 5.0 and my motherboard has PCIe 3.0, I've read the performance drop is minimal (around 2%). I believe it should be compatible, but I'm curious if anyone has thoughts.
For the CPU, I'm considering the Ryzen 7 5700X, which is around $164, but I'm still open to suggestions. I understand my current CPU will bottleneck the new GPU—how significant will that bottleneck be compared to my current setup?
If anyone has recommendations on graphics cards or CPUs that fit my budget and needs, that would be great!

You might want to consider the Intel Arc A770 or the AMD 9060XT 16GB if you're prioritizing VRAM. A GPU with at least 12GB is starting to become more important, especially for modern gaming. Also, the Intel Arc B580 with 12GB is a solid option if you can fit it in your case.
Upgrading to the 5060 sounds good for your budget constraints! While the Ryzen 5 2600X may hold back newer GPUs, you should still see a significant improvement over your current performance. When you're ready for the CPU upgrade, the 5700X is a solid choice and will pair nicely with the 5060.

I’m trying to stick to my $300 budget, though. Why would I need more than 8GB? And the Intel Arc A770 is too large for my current case!
