I'm planning to save some cash on my next gaming setup by upgrading my current PC instead of going for a brand new build. The main game I want to run smoothly is Counter-Strike 2. I'm focusing on upgrading my CPU and cooler, motherboard, and RAM—other components will stay the same from my existing setup. I'm located in Canada, playing at 1080p with a 240Hz monitor, and I might think about a higher refresh rate monitor in the future. Any suggestions?

What’s your current system, if you don’t mind sharing? From what you’ve got in mind, it seems like a bit much for just CS2.
I recommend going for the i7-14700K and the MSI PRO B760-P. You can reuse your existing RAM, and it’ll only set you back about $600 CAD. Plus, you’ll save a ton for when you're ready to upgrade your GPU later.

Here’s my old setup: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pMqCDc. I usually get around 180-200 fps, but during matches, I sometimes drop below 150 fps, even with FreeSync.
