Looking for Affordable Alternatives to SendGrid After the Free Tier Change

I'm in the process of building a small e-commerce app and have relied on SendGrid's free tier for sending transactional emails, like order confirmations and contact form replies. Since they've either removed or limited the free plan, I'm on the hunt for reliable alternatives that offer a free plan or a low-cost solution. My expected volume is under 100 emails a day, and I'd really appreciate any recommendations, especially those that integrate easily with my Spring Boot backend.

If it's just transactional emails you need, I'd suggest checking Scaleway. Their free tier is a bit limited with only 300 messages a month, but their pricing is a lot cheaper than more traditional marketing tools as you scale.

Have you considered Mailersend? They have a pretty generous free plan that allows for 3,000 emails a month. I used it recently for transactional emails, and it set up really smoothly with my backend. Easy API too!

Amazon SES could be a good option, offering scalable pay-as-you-go pricing without a free tier, but it can be quite affordable.

Mailgun is another strong contender. They offer a quite appealing plan at $15 a month for 10,000 emails. They do have a free tier for sending 100 emails a day, but getting to that level can attract some spam concerns.

You might want to check out Brevo! They let you send up to 300 emails per day for free, which could work well for your needs.
