Looking for Affordable Asset Management Software Recommendations

I'm searching for suggestions on asset management software for my company. We currently use Fresh Service, but our IT inventory specialist is really frustrated with it. I checked out Asset Panda, but it's way too pricey for the features it offers. I looked into Blue Tally, Snipe IT (which seems to be popular), Odoo, and Asset Tiger as potential options. We have around 3000 employees and need a solution that can manage various assets, including furniture and non-IT items. I'd love to hear your experiences and recommendations! I even considered building a custom app, but our engineering team is too busy to take that on right now.

I've been using AssetTiger and I'm a fan! I've also used SnipeIT in the past and liked that too. Both have their strengths.

I totally understand your struggle! We faced similar issues with Fresh Service as well. Now, we're using EZO (previously EZOfficeInventory), and it's been a much smoother experience. It handles both IT and non-IT assets, has customizable fields, and offers mobile access.

We looked into LanSweeper, and it did what we needed, but ultimately decided we didn't require such a tool for our scope. Still, it's a cool option for a good price.

You might want to check out GLPI. It's a self-hosted option that could meet your needs. Their website is glpi-project.org if you want to look into it more.

If you're looking for something less complex than Fresh Service but still comprehensive, Setyl is worth considering (I work for them). It helps manage IT and non-IT assets, and there's a customer review from a company your size that could be insightful.

Just wanted to share that I built my own asset management software using our file server as the database. It was a fun personal project! My CFO is very cost-conscious, so buying a commercial solution wasn't an option, but the auditor advised us to upgrade from Excel for the next audit.

Consider looking at Reftab. Snipe IT is good but might not be as scalable for your company size. Reftab has integrations with various platforms to help streamline your processes.
