Hey everyone! I'm working as an IT Technician at a small company, and our compliance team recently decided to revoke access to ChatGPT because of concerns about data being stored on servers, making data breaches more likely. Since we mostly use Microsoft products, we've transitioned to CoPilot, but both my manager and I find it frustrating. With ChatGPT, we used to quickly get Intune and PowerShell scripts, but CoPilot often requires multiple prompts just to get a decent response. I'm curious if anyone has recommendations for other AI systems or bots that are safe for us to test and research. Thanks!

Consider enhancing your prompts for better results. There's resources out there that can show you how to craft effective prompts for chatbots.
Try toggling the ChatGPT-5 option in CoPilot; it might improve the responses you get!
Have you tried setting up a baseline for CoPilot's understanding of your environment? It might help to add something like 'think hard about your answer' at the end of your prompts. It could push CoPilot to give you better quality responses.
We're currently on GPT-4, but I’ll try adding that for sure!
Have you thought about improving your skills in searching for information or understanding PowerShell instead of relying solely on AI? I don't have many issues with CoPilot, and I wouldn't recommend sending any sensitive company data to free AI models, regardless of their provider.
I definitely get that approach! As an apprentice, I'm trying to leverage AI to learn faster and feel more independent. I don't share company data, but we found out some were, leading to these restrictions. I'm all for exploring safe AIs, though!
It's interesting that you're having such different experiences with CoPilot. Since it's based on OpenAI's models, I'd expect the outputs to be somewhat similar.
Exactly! I was trying to create an Intune utility script, and CoPilot was guiding me with outdated registry edits. I provided detailed context, but it still missed the mark.
Have you tried to get better at using CoPilot? Sometimes it just takes practice to get it to understand your requests better.
I make sure my queries are clear and detailed, but it just doesn't seem as effective as ChatGPT. It feels a bit sluggish and not as responsive.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely look that up.
