Looking for Alternatives to NinjaOne and SentinelOne for Small Business

We're currently using NinjaOne for remote monitoring and management along with SentinelOne for endpoint protection across 20-25 devices, which includes a mix of servers and PCs, as well as Mac laptops and desktops. Our company is fairly small, just 10-12 people, and we previously had an introductory rate of about $22 per device on NinjaOne. However, our MSP has now quoted us a steep rise to $75 per device plus an additional five hours of service each month, totaling around $2700 a month. I'm on the lookout for other options. Given that we're a web design and development outfit with users who are tech-savvy, I'm considering alternatives like Level.io or Action1 for RMM and possibly BitDefender for endpoint protection. Any recommendations?

That NinjaOne price sounds outrageous! You might want to check directly with them, as I suspect your MSP is adding a hefty markup. NinjaOne is usually more reasonable—around $4 per device when bought directly, especially for a small setup like yours. It could save you serious cash. Just a heads up, I’d steer clear of switching unless absolutely necessary; NinjaOne is a strong choice!

Great point! I've also heard that through a reseller, you can get SentinelOne for about $65 per endpoint annually. It's worth investigating that route as well.

Definitely check NinjaOne's pricing without the MSP! They have great customer support and the setup is straightforward. I’ve managed to get their rate down significantly, so I’d advise going that route. Transitioning to full in-house IT has worked wonders for us. We went from spending $110k a year down to about $17k!

That's inspiring! How did you manage to negotiate your rate down? We have a long-term contract, and I think it might be affecting our pricing too.

If you're looking into alternatives, Crowdstrike's Falcon Go is top-tier and worth checking out. Another option is Action1, which is free for up to 200 devices—though be aware some features are locked behind a paywall. Also worth looking into BreezeRMM, especially since it's designed for smaller setups like yours.

Definitely! Action1’s free tier is generous, and I've used it before. Just make sure you have a backup plan, as it still needs to mature a bit.

Your MSP seems to be the real problem; they’re likely overcharging you. I’ve managed to bundle NinjaOne and Crowdstrike for about £1.18 per device, which is peanuts compared to what you’re paying. Maybe it’s time to consider changing providers?

Yes! I had the same experience. Switching MSPs saved us a ton of money and provided better service.
