My organization is on the hunt for a top-notch API monitoring tool. We initially aimed to go with Signoz, but we found out that it currently lacks user management, which isn't suitable for our needs. What are some alternatives to Signoz that we can consider? I'd love to hear about both free and paid options!

What exactly do you mean by 'best'? Are you open to spending money? Also, have you already looked into other options? Signoz actually has a list of its competitors on their site that you might find useful.

It really depends on your specific requirements and setup. Are you using cloud services or on-prem infrastructure? There isn't really a 'best' solution since some people prefer managed services while others want something cost-effective. Tools like Grafana with OpenTelemetry can help you integrate easily regardless of your stack. Just make sure your team is trained on best practices to avoid generating excessive costs!

Have you checked out Datadog? It's pretty popular for API monitoring and has a lot of features. Just a thought!

Check out OpenObserve. I've used the free version and it managed larger datasets better than Signoz did for me, although this was a while back. Also, look into HyperDX; I loved the idea behind it, but I did face some issues when setting it up.
