Looking for Beginner Guides for My New Steam Deck

Hey everyone! So, I've just gotten my hands on a Steam Deck and I'm really liking SteamOS. I've mostly been using it in desktop mode, treating it like a handheld laptop. Since this is my first experience with Linux, I would love it if you could recommend some beginner-friendly guides or resources. I'm coming from a Windows background (I've been using it since XP) and I've dabbled a bit with Mac OS too, but I'm definitely new to Linux. Any tips or simple guides to get me started would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot!

One great way to get started is by customizing your Steam Deck! Just playing around with different settings can teach you a lot about your Linux system. Look up videos on the Linux file system and how various components are modular, like different desktop environments. This knowledge really helps when transitioning from Windows to Linux!

Adding bash scripts into your custom setup can also deepen your understanding! It's a fun way to learn.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely look into that.

What do you actually want to do with the Steam Deck? Are you mainly focused on gaming or exploring other capabilities? It might help to narrow down your search for guides.

I mentioned it in my post, but mainly gaming! Just trying to explore everything it offers.
