Looking for Budget CPU Recommendations for My First PC Build

I'm about to start building my very first PC and I'm a bit stuck when it comes to choosing a CPU. My expectations are pretty low; I'm fine with 1080p gaming at around 40fps, and I'm not planning to play demanding games like Call of Duty, Valorant, or Elden Ring. I just want a decent CPU that won't bottleneck lower-end GPUs like the GTX 1060, 1050TI, RX 580, or GTX 1650. Also, I'd prefer something with good value for its price and that doesn't run too hot. I'm not necessarily looking for the latest model but something reliable without breaking the bank.

In terms of options, the ranking goes like this: 3600X < 5600X < 8400F < 7500F < 14600KF based on your budget. All of these CPUs are great for low to mid-range gaming. If you're planning to pair with a 1660 Super, then the 3600X would be all you need!

How about a used Ryzen 5600 or 5600X? They're solid options for budget builds.

You should definitely aim for at least 1080p at 60fps if you can! What's your budget like? Are you building this from scratch or do you have any parts to reuse?
