Hey everyone! I'm seeking some help with a PC build I've put together for my younger brother. He's been saving up for a while and has some cash ready to upgrade from his old, pretty crummy setup. Gaming is definitely the primary focus, but I also want to create a well-rounded machine that will perform great in general tasks.
I've chosen the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X 3D as the CPU since it seems like a solid option at a reasonable price compared to the 9950. The RAM and storage I've selected should provide fast load times and smooth multitasking. I included a 1000W PSU, which might be a bit overkill, but I want to ensure he has room for future upgrades. We're considering a few GPUs, like the 9060 XT and 9070 XT, but I'm trying to balance power with what he actually needs for now.
I want to ensure I'm not missing anything important in this build. Here's the full part list, but it might come in a bit higher than what I originally budgeted. I really want this to be special for him since it'll be his first proper gaming PC! He doesn't plan on playing any super demanding games right now, so if you have any suggestions or insights on parts I might be able to improve, that would be awesome. Thanks for any help!

You might want to consider swapping out a few components if gaming is the main focus. For example, a cheaper motherboard and less RAM could save you some cash without sacrificing performance. Check out this revised build I made: [PCPartPicker List](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/cz3MWc). It's better optimized for gaming.
Also, just a heads-up, the M470 Pro SSD has QLC flash, which isn't as durable and slows down over time. You might want to consider a drive with TLC flash instead for better longevity.

Thanks for sharing! Can you explain why you think those parts are better? I don’t mind making changes, but I want to make sure it still meets his needs as he grows and maybe explores more than just gaming.
