I've always been inspired by my father's work as a server engineer and his passion for technology and coding. He tried to teach me some basic Python when I was around 12-15, but I struggled due to having ADD/ADHD. After his passing a few years ago, I decided to embark on my journey to learn technology in his footsteps. I've begun with "Structures and Interpretations of Computer Programs" by Harold Abelson & Gerald Sussman, and I'm following along with some old MIT lectures that relate to it. I'm reaching out to see if anyone has recommendations for books or resources to help me learn coding effectively. Thank you for any suggestions!

It's great that you're picking up coding again! The Pragmatic Bookshelf is a fantastic publisher if you want a variety of topics covered. They have a lot of books that can appeal to beginners and beyond. Check them out at pragprog.com!
I remember that SICP book being quite the challenge back in the day. It was my first textbook too, and I found it tough to grasp at first. I think the key is to write some simple code in different languages alongside it; that's when the concepts really started clicking for me.

Thanks for the resources! I'll definitely check them out 😀
