I'm on the hunt for a user-friendly video editing software for Linux that's similar to CapCut and preferably free. I'm new to Linux, and I need something that won't have me pulling my hair out. What do you recommend and why?

Short answer: no, nothing quite matches CapCut. If you really need something like it, you could consider installing VirtualBox or making a dual boot with Windows to run CapCut. Just a thought!
You should definitely check out Kdenlive! It's my go-to video editing tool on Linux. There are also simpler options like VidCutter if you need something less feature-heavy. Just search for Linux open-source video editing software, and you’ll find plenty to choose from!
Honestly, there's nothing on Linux that's exactly like CapCut. The closest option would be DaVinci Resolve, but be warned—it's got a serious learning curve compared to CapCut. If you're okay with that, give it a shot!
Pitivi is also a great shout if you're looking for something straightforward. It’s simple to use, but if you want more advanced features, Kdenlive might be worth the time to learn.
If you're just starting out, Kdenlive is solid. But really, there's a whole treasure trove of options out there, just explore a bit and you’ll find what fits your needs!

Thanks for the tips! I’ll check out Kdenlive and Pitivi. I appreciate it!
