I'm searching for reliable computer monitoring and control software for my 12-year-old, who has discovered that incognito mode in browsers doesn't save any history. My main requirements are a solution that can:
1. Block inappropriate websites.
2. Provide updates on online activity, including web searches and opened sites, with a focus on specific keywords in searches.
While I know there are many options to block sites, I've only come across QuStodio and Aura for tracking online activity. Aura is somewhat pricey at $10 per month, and QuStodio only works with Edge, Chrome, and Firefox for $3 per month. I'm okay with QuStodio's browser limitations, but I'd love to find other alternatives without having to jump to something like productivity apps or mobile software.

You might want to consider upgrading to Windows 11. It includes built-in parental controls through the Microsoft Family Safety app, which allows you to manage your kid's online experiences across different devices. This could help with tracking their activity effectively.

I’m already using Microsoft Family Safety, but I’ve had to take away my son’s computer since he was overusing it. Now he only uses my laptop, which messes up the tracking because it’s under my user ID. I'm hesitant to create a separate ID for him because it might encourage him to spend more time online.
