Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to build my first custom PC after using a pre-built system for the last seven years. I've put together a build on PCPartPicker and it shows no compatibility issues, but I'd love to get some extra opinions before I start purchasing the parts. I've noticed that RAM prices are pretty high right now, but I think I'll just go for it anyway. If you want to take a look at my build, here's the link: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MGXTKq](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MGXTKq). Thanks a lot for your help!

Your PSU isn’t bad, but I'd suggest looking at models from Corsair, MSI, Lian Li, or Seasonic for better reliability. Regarding the RAM, yeah, prices are steep! If your PC is mainly for gaming, you might only need 32GB, but if you're using it for work, stick with 64GB and use 2 sticks for better stability. Also, don’t forget about case fans! For the CPU, if gaming is your main use, the 9800x3d could be a better fit.
Why did you choose the 9950x3d, an x870 motherboard, and 64GB of RAM? Also, using four RAM sticks can reduce stability, so I'd recommend going with 2x32GB instead. As for the PSU, it's a solid option, but consider getting a modular one like the Montech Century II 850w, which is both affordable and higher quality.
