Hey everyone! I'm brand new to coding and currently diving into C++ on my own time after work. I'm hoping to transition from being a welder to a programmer in the gaming industry. While I've been exploring platforms like Codecademy, I'm searching for free resources specific to C++. I've heard about sites like freeCodeCamp and TOP but I'm not finding any free C++ courses.
I'm considering continuing my self-study, and I plan to check out the Coursera Unreal course as I believe it incorporates C++. However, the more I research, the more uncertain I feel about whether I'm heading in the right direction with my learning.
Having guidelines and a structured approach is really important to me. So, any advice or suggestions on effective free C++ courses or resources would be incredibly appreciated!

Check out learncpp.com! It’s one of my favorites; the layout is really user-friendly and structured. You can go through various topics as you choose, which is great if you've got specific things in mind you'd like to learn.
There are also some YouTube channels that might help. One suggestion is Bro Code, but I heard mixed reviews about his C++ videos. Some people say they might not be the best for learning good practices.
If you want more organized lessons, you could look into some recommended playlists on YouTube. Just make sure to cross-check them for quality, as not all of them are created equal. Some might be okay but can have bad coding practices, so it’s good to be cautious.
