Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from my current Nvidia GeForce 1060 6GB. I have a budget of around $500 and I'm considering options like the 5070 or the 3080. I know that any of the newer 30, 40, or 50 series cards would be an improvement, but I'm hoping to get the best value for my money within that $300-500 range. Also, I want to future-proof it a bit—ideally, I'd like something that could last until the 1000 series comes out. Here are the specs for my current build:
- Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 550 G2 80+ Gold
- Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty X470 Gaming K4 ATX AM4
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core

You might want to consider the 9060XT; it's a solid pick at around $350. Just a heads up though, getting a more powerful card without upgrading your CPU could lead to some bottlenecking, but it should still give you a decent boost in performance!
If you can swing it, the 9060 XT 16GB is a great choice at about $370. You could also look into upgrading your CPU to a Ryzen 5600 for around $120. That way, you'd be optimizing your $500 budget better!
This sounds exactly like what I need! Thanks for the suggestion!
Yeah, I get that! I'm really just trying to improve my loading times for Warhammer 3 without doing a complete overhaul right now.
