Looking for Help with Switching to Linux Mint and Ricing

Hey everyone! I just watched a PewDiePie video that got me super interested in "ricing" and I've also come across this awesome bleach-themed setup on r/unixporn. I'm planning to switch to Linux Mint because I'm really not a fan of Windows 11. Could you guys recommend some YouTube channels or blogs that offer good guidance on migrating my data, games, and software to Mint? I'd also love to learn more about the ricing process. Thanks in advance for any tips you can share! Have a great day! <3

Check out the megathread of tutorials on r/unixporn! They have a lot of resources pinned at the top. Not an expert on customizing UI since I stick with vanilla gnome and a couple of extensions, but starting there should help you out! Welcome to Linux, by the way! Always a good idea to look through existing threads before posting your questions.

You might want to check the migration page in the Linux4Noobs wiki! They have helpful migration tips, and you can search for more info on migrating under the 'migrating' flair there. Just a tip: always be careful with root access, avoid third-party repos, and make sure to check your ISO checksums after downloading!

Michael Horn's YouTube channel has been super helpful for me. There's also The Linux Experiment, but be sure to figure out what you want to do and pick the most reliable tutorials. After installation, I found tons of useful info in documentation and forums! And if you're interested in dual boot setups, ExplainingComputers has a great tutorial for that!

If you're into gaming like PUBG or Valorant, though, you might wanna reconsider using Linux. It can be tough to get those games running well.

If it ain't on Steam, I'm not really interested in playing it!

The Linux Cast channel is awesome for tutorials on this! Also, Learn Linux TV is good, though it's a bit more technical if you're looking for gaming content. Just a heads up, you might not find a ton of gaming tips there, but definitely have fun exploring!
