Hey everyone! My HP laptop is on its last legs, and I really need a new one for my job. I'm using various software, including Unity, and I do a lot of simulation work, machine learning, and coding. I'm looking for a fast laptop that can handle heavy tasks. I've been eyeing the DELL XPS and the Lenovo Thinkpad but I'm open to other suggestions. What do you think?

ThinkPad is the clear winner here! You won’t regret it.
If you want my two cents, I’d go for the ThinkPad. Hands down the better choice.
ThinkPads are a solid choice! I've got an older model, but I know the new ones are excellent for what you're doing. They really hold up under pressure.
Honestly, I’ve had great experiences with XPS, but I understand the concerns. It's best to weigh the pros and cons based on your specific needs.
I totally agree with considering the ThinkPad line. The P-Series, like the ThinkPad P1, is especially good. Just a heads up to steer clear of DELL XPS laptops unless you want to deal with constant hardware issues. They can be pretty problematic!
Great point! I’ll make sure to check out the specs on the GPUs before I decide.
Just a heads-up, I'd avoid HP if you're worried about durability. The hinges can be a pain. A ThinkPad would definitely serve you better!
Definitely! I’m not a fan of DELL either. We usually tell our customers to go for HP or Lenovo instead. Just make sure to check if you need a dedicated GPU, because ThinkPads do have some good options.
