Looking for Linux Distro Recommendations for Gaming and Video Editing

I recently stepped into the Linux world after getting tired of Windows. Previously, I was using a GTX 1660 with an i5-2400 and 16GB of RAM, producing videos for YouTube. I tried Zorin OS but faced microphone issues and performance drops in games. After several tests with distros like Bazzite, Nobara, and Pop!_OS—with none delivering the gaming performance I wanted—I switched back to Windows. Now, I've upgraded to a Xeon 2680 v4 and an AMD RX 7600 with the same RAM. I'm still creating content and using tools like Photoshop and Sony Vegas for editing. However, I'm eager to leave Windows behind for good. I'm looking for a quiet Linux distribution that can handle both gaming and video editing and supports my graphics tablet for drawing. I'm considering Cashy OS, Nobara, or Mint. Can anyone suggest a suitable distro that meets these needs?

There are a few popular distros worth mentioning: CachyOS, Mint, and Nobara. CachyOS is based on Arch, offers a friendly interface, and works great for gaming. Mint is perfect if you're looking for stability and user-friendliness, and Nobara is tailored for gaming specifically. I'd recommend trying them on a USB stick to see which one you vibe with!

You might want to check out PikaOS. It's designed to be user-friendly and really performs well on mid-range hardware like yours. Plus, since it's Debian-based and has a bleeding-edge kernel, you should get a smooth experience.
