Hey everyone! I'm considering upgrading my computer since it was built back in 2020. It's been running fine for gaming, but it's starting to feel a bit dated. Here's my current setup:

- **CPU:** Intel Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
- **Motherboard:** Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING ATX LGA1151
- **Memory:** Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 (x2)
- **Video Card:** Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB
- **Case:** Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic ATX Full Tower
- **Power Supply:** MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX

I'm aiming to upgrade the motherboard, RAM, and CPU, ideally with a budget around $1000. What do you folks recommend?

You generally know it’s time to upgrade when your performance isn't meeting your expectations anymore. For your budget, you could get a really solid CPU upgrade along with a new mobo and RAM. Do you have a Microcenter nearby? Their deals are unbeatable!

I wish! Unfortunately, I don’t have a Microcenter around, just Best Buy and online shops.

Those Microcenter bundles are great—especially for the high-end CPUs!

You've got a solid base there! I recommend upgrading your CPU, motherboard, and RAM. I put together a parts list for you:

- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core ($359)
- **Motherboard:** MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI ATX AM5 ($209.99)
- **Memory:** Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 ($79.99)

This totals around $648, which leaves you a bit of wiggle room if you want to grab any additional parts or accessories.

That’s a solid list! If OP can access Microcenter, they might even find better combo deals!
