Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my setup and need some recommendations for a decent but affordable AM5 motherboard. Right now, I'm using a B650 with a 5070ti and a 9950X3D, but I'm looking to switch to a 5080 Super when it drops, or a 5090 by New Year's if that doesn't happen. Ideally, I'd like a board that has at least two slots for SSDs. I don't have a strict budget, but let's not get crazy with options that cost $750 or $1000. Thanks a lot for your help!

You might want to check out the Gigabyte B850 Eagle or the MSI MAG X670E. If you've got the basic B650, then the ASUS TUF Gaming B650E (the E variant has PCIe Gen 5) could be a good pick. Or consider the ASUS B850 as well.
What's up with your B650? Is it not doing the job for you?
They're probably feeling like they're missing out on a lot of performance by not having PCIe 5 for their graphics card. They'd be mistaken, but that's my best guess.
Nothing wrong with it so far, it works perfectly for my 5070ti. But I do want more than one NVMe SSD slot. Plus, I've heard that a better mobo with more PCIe lanes is better for high-end GPUs. I'm pretty new to this whole PC building scene, so I'm still learning.
I love the X670E Edge TI! You can often find it on sale for just over $300. It's got awesome connectivity with no conflicts between M.2 and PCIe slots! You’ll get 4 M.2 slots, with 2 being Gen 5, plus no overlaps with the PCIe slots, which is fantastic.
I'm a fan of the MSI B850 Tomahawk, and it runs around $220. It's a solid choice!
Does PCIe Gen 5 really make a noticeable performance difference compared to what's in my B650? I'm not super knowledgeable about motherboards.
