Looking for Recommendations on a Modern Linux Desktop Environment

Hey all! I'm new to the Linux scene and I'm currently on Linux Mint using the Cinnamon desktop. It's been alright, but I'm eager to find a desktop environment that has a more modern, minimal, and aesthetic vibe. I'm really into having a smooth UI with nice animations and great theming options, similar to some impressive setups I've seen online. Can you help me out with some suggestions? I'm looking for something with:

- A sleek, modern interface
- Solid community support and stability
- Customization options or good theming capabilities

If you have any cool ideas or examples of your own setups, I'd love to see them. Thanks in advance!

Cinnamon is nice, but consider experimenting with other DEs. Install a few and see which ones resonate with you. I’m leaning towards KDE myself; it’s been great in my experience!

If you want something fresh, give Debian with the Budgie desktop a try. It's modern and has a beautiful UI that you can customize quite a bit.

I’d recommend checking out Fedora with the KDE Plasma desktop. It’s super sleek and customizable, plus the community support is excellent.

You might find a lot of inspiration on Distrosea. It’s a great resource for finding different Linux distros and their features that could match your aesthetic needs.
