Looking for Remote Desktop Solutions on Linux

I'm fully transitioned away from Windows and now using Linux on my desktop system (Ryzen 7600, RX6750XT, 32GB@6K). The only thing that's holding me back is remote desktop access. Previously, I used Chrome Remote Desktop, but I struggled to get it working on the Fedora spins I've tried. I've attempted alternatives like RustDesk, but I can't find any that allow logins on the host machine, leading to my decision to switch to Debian since it supports .deb installations. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked, and despite following various tutorials, I can't seem to find a solution. What I'm looking for is a way to log into my home PC via a web browser when I'm away from home, with a simple login capability—no gaming features, just basic access. If anyone has suggestions or links to good tutorials, I would really appreciate it!

You might want to give RustDesk another shot. I know it has a web client! Just keep in mind that it requires permission from the host to connect, which can be tricky if you're not at home to grant access. Maybe you'll find a way around this that works for you?

That's a good point. I ran into the same issue where I had to give permission manually. Without being at home, it's a no-go for us!

If you’re open to terminal access, you could utilize SSH. While it doesn't give you a full GUI, you can manage files and carry out pretty much everything you need right from the command line—super handy if you're familiar with it!

I definitely need GUI access for my work files, but I appreciate the suggestion! SSH is cool for certain tasks, but I really prioritize being able to view my desktop.
