I'm preparing for a dog walking holiday and I want to make sure my dog is safe. I'm considering adding a tracker to her collar in case she runs off. I have an Android phone so I'm looking for recommendations for a reliable pet tracker that works well with it.

We use the Tractive GPS tracker here in the UK and it's been excellent. The battery lasts a long time, plus it gives you alerts to recharge. In live tracking mode, it shows your dog's location very precisely, within around half a meter. Just a heads up, it does need a mobile signal, but it seems to work pretty well even in more remote areas. There’s a subscription cost for the mobile data part, around £80 a year, but their customer service is really helpful too!
If you have a Samsung phone, the Samsung Smart Tag could be a good option. However, keep in mind that it's mainly designed for Samsung Galaxy devices. You might want to check if your phone is compatible first.
