Looking for Tips to Optimize My Gaming PC Build

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a gaming PC primarily for 1080p and 1440p gaming, and I want to make sure I'm getting the best performance for my budget of $1000. Here's my current parts list for reference: [PCPartPicker List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8dNRxg).

I've got a few specific questions:

1. Would downgrading to a Ryzen 5 7600 help save money without compromising performance significantly?
2. Are there more affordable but reliable motherboard options that I should consider?
3. Can I trim costs on the PSU or case while still maintaining quality?
4. Do you have suggestions for better GPU options at this price range?

Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

Check this link for an alternative build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kxZsQd. It’s important to avoid the Crucial P3 since it's not the best for endurance. A 650W PSU should be sufficient, and if you want more power, the Thermaltake GF1 is a solid choice. Just keep your eye out as some options may be out of stock right now.

If there’s a MicroCenter near you, they often have great bundles for CPU, motherboard, and RAM which can save you a lot. Might be worth checking out!

I live about 30-45 mins away, but I’ll definitely check it out!

The link to your parts list didn't work properly. But regarding your CPU choice, the Ryzen 5 7600 is a bit slower by about 1-2% than some higher models, so if you can save a few bucks without losing too much performance, it could be worth it. Also, for the PSU and case, brands like Phanteks and Corsair offer good quality at decent prices. As for GPU options, it’s tricky right now—consider looking at a used 3080 if you can find one. AMD often has competitive options too!
