Hey everyone! I recently picked up a second-hand PC, and I'm looking for some advice on potential upgrades to enhance my gaming experience. Here's my current build:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 3.7 GHz 12-Core Processor
- Motherboard: MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard
- Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory
- Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD
- Video Card: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7800 XT 16 GB
- Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower
- Power Supply: Corsair RM750x (2018) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular
- Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus 32-bit 384 kHz Sound Card
- Monitor: LG 27GS75Q-B 27.0" 2560 x 1440 180 Hz Monitor
I'm new to PCs, having previously only used consoles and laptops, and I'm not sure how well this build will perform. I'm also curious about making it more "future-proof". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

This build you've got is solid! The CPU and GPU are perfect for 1440p gaming. You might consider more storage or additional cooling since the case only has two fans, but otherwise, you're set for a while!
Your PC is definitely high-end! It'll run almost any game at high settings for the next couple of years without a hitch. If you're looking to future-proof it, just think about adding storage and improving airflow a bit—those steps might be enough!
Honestly, there's no real need to upgrade right now. Just run games on this setup as is, see how it performs, and then decide if you need any changes later. It should handle most games pretty well!

Thanks! Adding a couple more fans makes sense to me. I also want to make sure I’ll have enough storage for games, especially newer ones.
