Looking to Build a New Gaming PC: Need Your Advice!

Hey everyone! I'm looking to build a new PC since my current one is outdated and barely works. I plan to use it primarily for gaming, mostly Football Manager (which takes up about 85% of my time) and a few other titles like Kingdom Come Deliverance, The Witcher 3, and Red Dead Redemption at 1440p. I want to ensure it can handle future games, especially GTA VI. I've been eyeing this build:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- Motherboard: ASRock B850M Pro RS WiFi
- RAM: TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB DDR5-6000
- SSD: TEAMGROUP T-FORCE G50 1 TB NVME
- GPU: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9070 XT
- Case: Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
- PSU: Montech CENTURY II 850 W 80+ Gold

Total cost is around €1600. A friend suggested a Ryzen 5 7600X and RX 9060 XT to cut costs, but considering the databases I manage in Football Manager, I'm leaning toward the Ryzen 7 and RX 9070 for more longevity. Am I going overboard or is it justified? Also, any advice on whether I can save money without sacrificing quality on parts like the case or motherboard? How's the airflow in my case, and is my PSU reliable enough? Should I wait for Black Friday deals? Plus, I'm looking for a monitor under €200. I found the AOC Q27G3XMN, which looks promising, but I could use some more options. Appreciate any help! Thanks!

Your build looks solid for gaming, but you might want to reconsider that ASRock motherboard due to reliability concerns with the X3D CPUs. Switching to a different SSD could also save you some cash, though it's not urgently necessary. If you want to cut costs, think about going for the RX 9070 non-XT since your main games won't be too GPU-heavy until you hit the really demanding ones. As for the monitor, the Asus ROG Strix XG27ACS is a great option and performs well for around 200 bucks. The AOC is also a good pick for HDR on a budget!

Thanks! Any suggestions for an SSD?

There are tons of monitor options out there, so be careful with model numbers. The AOC you mentioned is solid, but definitely look at reviews and specs to make sure you’re getting the right model!

I’ve heard good things about the Gigabyte B850 EAGLE WIFI6E, which is probably better than that ASRock board. It’s worth checking out. And those review sites are super reliable; it’s a good idea to check multiple sources before buying. You're going to get a good deal if you shop around!

Make sure your CPU is powerful enough for those emulators, especially RPCS3. You might consider the 7800X3D for better performance on regular games, but for emulators, the performance difference might not be huge. Just check how hot the VRMs run on the motherboard, since some cheaper boards might struggle under load. And yes, keep an eye on deals—Black Friday can have some sweet discounts!

Honestly, I recommend the RX 9060 XT with a cheaper CPU instead. It's perfect for 1440p without breaking the bank. You won't be playing the most demanding games, so this combo should suit your needs and keep you under budget!

Do you think the 9060 XT will handle GTA VI when it releases?
