Looking to Build a Quiet PC with RTX 5070 Ti and Ryzen 7 7800X3D – Any Tips?

I'm planning to build a new PC and I'm considering an RTX 5070 Ti and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D. I've put together a part list on PCPartPicker, which you can check out here: [Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tQc8v4). I'm particularly curious about the cooling and motherboard options. What advantages does a good motherboard offer? Also, is regular air cooling sufficient?

I'm thinking of using the Corsair 5000D AIRFLOW case along with 3 Noctua NF-A12X25 PWM fans and the Noctua NH-D15 cooler. Will this setup be loud, or would I be better off with water cooling for a quieter experience?

$1230 for a 5070 Ti is way too much. You can definitely find it for under $1000 if you shop around.

I have a Ryzen 7 7800X3D paired with a 5070 Ti and I use an Arctic Freezer III 360mm cooler. I'm on a B650 Eagle AX motherboard with 32GB of 6000 CL30 RAM. Make sure you check for any thermal gel leakage issues if you consider the Gigabyte version; I had to return mine. The Palit Gamerock is a good alternative.

Do they actually have leaking problems? The prices for other 5070 Tis are so high, should I just go with the ASUS TUF RTX 5080 Gaming OC instead?

That sounds like good advice! I'll be careful with my choice.

The Seasonic power supply you have is known to be quite loud. Consider switching to a quieter option like the Corsair RM850X or Be Quiet Power Zone 2 850W. Also, keep RAM height in mind if you're using dual tower coolers—make sure to avoid tall RGB sticks. You might need to adjust the front fan a bit if space is tight, just be aware it could look a little off.

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll keep all that in mind.

I suggest just getting a budget 120mm tower cooler and swapping out the fan for a Noctua; you really don’t need the NH-D15 for that CPU unless you want to spend a fortune. A Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE with two Noctua fans would give you the same performance but at a fifth of the cost. Don't stress too much about the motherboard for cooling—it doesn't really affect it much.

You can definitely get a solid AIO cooler for less than the NH-D15 if you're looking to save money.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll look into that.
