Hey everyone! After years of waiting, I finally decided it's time to treat myself to a gaming PC. I've got a $1000 budget, which I know is a bit tight, and I'm aiming for good performance at 2K resolution, especially for games like Battlefield 6. So far, I've considered some parts like the RTX 5070, 32GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000MHz, a Ryzen 5 7600 processor, and a 1TB SSD. I'm thinking about a Micro ATX case if that's possible. What parts would you recommend for my build?

I recommend this setup:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT (16 GB)
- Motherboard: ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 Micro ATX
- RAM: TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000
- Storage: Western Digital Black SN850X 1 TB M.2 NVMe
- Case: Fractal Design Pop Mini Air MicroATX
- PSU: Corsair CX (2023) 650 W 80+ Bronze
This should give you solid performance!

To be honest, if you can, consider saving up another $500 or so. It might be worth investing a bit more to get a PC that will last you for a decade rather than having to upgrade all the time. I made that choice, and it’s been so much better.

You might want to try PCPartPicker to set up your desired build, and then share it for feedback. It'll help optimize your parts. If you want someone to create the list for you, the buildapcforme group can assist too!

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check it out.

For better value, look into the 9070 XT instead of the 5070. It might give you a better gaming experience for similar pricing.

Just a heads up, $1000 can mean different things depending on where you are. Make sure it’s clear whether you’re budgeting in USD or CAD, as that can affect what parts are available to you.
