Looking to Build My First PC—Need Advice on Parts and Budget!

Hey everyone! I'm currently gaming on my PS5, but with the recent subscription price hike, I've decided it's time to switch over to PC gaming. I'm based in Southern California and my budget is capped at $1,000. I'm not overly concerned with graphics; as long as the game has a great story, I'm happy! Where can I find the parts to build my own PC?

You might think you're not into graphics since you’ve been on a PS5, but probably you're more of a graphics person than you realize! If you have a Micro Center near you (like in Tustin), that's a great spot to save some cash on your build. Many suggest starting with a Ryzen 5 7600x (6-core) or 7700x (8-core) CPU. For the graphics card, don't hesitate to look at used options to save some bucks. Plus, check out pcpartpicker.com for some recommended builds!

Yeah, there's a Micro Center in Tustin! If you don't mind the drive there, they often have awesome deals on CPU/motherboard/RAM combos. You could pair their Ryzen 9600x or 7600x3D with a 9060xt (16GB) and stay under your $1k budget easily!

Will they assist me in checking compatibility of the parts?
