Looking to Learn More About Linux Mint – Where to Start?

Hey everyone! I've recently started using Linux Mint (Cinnamon) on Oracle VirtualBox on my ThinkPad T480 with 32GB of RAM, and I'm really eager to learn more about Linux before deciding to fully commit to it. I got interested in Linux long before PewDiePie's video inspired many to give it a shot. While I'm having fun exploring the terminal, I find the learning curve can be quite overwhelming due to the vast possibilities for customization. I'd love to get some suggestions on where to begin my journey into Linux. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

There's no single path to learning Linux; it's a deep dive if that's what you're into. Linux offers options and opportunities that Windows doesn't, but to unlock those, you need knowledge. Start with the basics: understand what a Linux distro is and its components. While Arch Linux is great for learning, it's tougher than Mint. If you're dedicated and have the time, you could even try 'Linux From Scratch.' Just experiment with what you like and learn as you go. And remember, Google's a great resource! Good luck and enjoy the adventure!

Thanks for the advice! I actually aim to try Arch Linux one day too. Using Mint is still fun, and I've been picking up Vim as well. I might just delete this post since your answer covers it well!
