I'm having trouble with my MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard. I partitioned my 4 TB SSD into two parts: 250 GB for Windows and the rest for my games. The SSD is recognized in BIOS and was working fine, but when I tried a fresh install on the 250 GB partition, my system entered a boot loop. I'm worried about having to unplug other drives since I've had bad experiences with hardware setup before. Is there a way to fix this issue without opening up my PC?

If you're nervous about unplugging stuff, you might not have to. Sometimes, simply resetting your BIOS to default settings can help resolve boot issues. Just go into the BIOS setup and look for an option to load defaults. Then, double-check that your SSD is selected as the primary boot drive and save your changes.
If that doesn't work, you might need to go for a complete install again. Just remember, you can take your time and go step by step—you’ve got this!
It sounds like you're stuck in a boot loop where Windows just can’t get going. You’ve mentioned that you're seeing a black screen that leads back to the BIOS? That's a common issue when the BIOS isn't recognizing the primary boot drive correctly. I recommend first making sure that your M2 SSD is actually set as the first boot device in the BIOS settings.
Also, if you can, try installing Windows on the whole drive first without any partitions. Once you’ve got Windows up and running, you can partition it later using Disk Management. This might help avoid issues that come with partitioning before the install.
Yeah, partitions these days aren't necessary until after Windows is installed. It's definitely easier to manage that way! Just make sure your SSD is the top choice in the boot options.

Totally agree! Resetting the BIOS can clear up a lot of confusion, especially after swapping hardware around. It's always worth a try before you think about unplugging things.
