Hey everyone! I'm really in a tough spot and could really use your help or advice. My Google account, which I've had for about 15 years, got hijacked on May 1st, 2025. The hacker made some quick moves, changing my recovery phone, recovery email, and even added a USB passkey while disabling my 2FA options. I've got loads of proof that it's my account—like emails from Google about unauthorized changes, past subscription receipts, recovery device info, and personal photos. Unfortunately, every time I try to recover the account, I just end up trapped in automated recovery steps with no way to get in touch with a real person. I've even reached out to Workspace support, but nothing has worked so far. If anyone has experienced something similar or knows how to escalate this issue, I'd be incredibly thankful!

I hate to say it, but it sounds like you might not be able to get it back. If they were able to change everything, the chances are slim. You should consider creating a new account.
Wow, this really makes me anxious. We should all be thinking about ways to prevent something like this from happening to us!
Do you have your Google backup codes saved somewhere? You usually get those when you set up 2FA. They could help you regain access even without the recovery email.
Honestly, recovery options are pretty limited here. Aside from the Google account recovery page, I don't think there’s much else you can do. It sounds like a tough situation, unfortunately.
Best advice I can give is to update all your passwords and emails associated with other accounts (like banks and services) while trying to recover your Google account. Even if you manage to get it back, it might not be safe anymore.
Since you’ve had the account for so long, I would suggest reaching out to Google directly. They might have some verification questions from the past that could help you recover it. Also, how did the hacker manage to bypass your 2FA? That part is really concerning!
It’s really unfortunate that Google doesn’t provide much support for hacked accounts. If only we could do more to help you!
Yeah, I'm curious about that too. How could they get past such a strong security measure?
