Hey everyone, I was playing a game called Schedule 1 and everything was fine at first. Suddenly, my screen went black and the indicator light turned orange, as if there was no input. I tried restarting my computer, and when I launched the game again, it ran really poorly. Then I got a warning that my AMD Software wasn't compatible with the installed graphics driver. I tried to troubleshoot it by checking the AMD website and downloaded a compatibility tool, but it told me my software was already compatible. After reinstalling the Adrenaline software, the game ran decently for about 15 minutes before the screen went black again. I haven't dared to play the game since. I'm not sure if it's an update issue from AMD, my GPU is sagging, or if my PSU (which is 600 or 650W) is underperforming. My system specs are Ryzen 5 1600, AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT, and 32 GB DDR4 RAM. Any advice would be appreciated!

Have you tried using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to completely uninstall your graphics driver before reinstalling? It can help clear out any remnants of the old drivers that might be causing conflicts. Also, check your GPU temperatures while gaming; overheating could also cause those black screens. Lastly, see if your GPU is showing any hardware issues in the Device Manager, like a Code 43 error.
You should try downloading DDU, restarting into safe mode, and completely removing your drivers. It's also a good idea to unplug your internet while doing this to avoid downloading new drivers automatically. After that, restart and reinstall your drivers fresh.
Open your Device Manager, find your graphics card, and uninstall the driver from there. Then try running AMD Adrenaline again to get the latest driver installed. Also, check the Event Viewer under System for any critical errors that might have happened around the time of the black screen. Usually, games shouldn't mess with drivers, unless you’re running mods or something, but sounds like you're not?
It's possible that Windows updated your GPU driver automatically, which might be causing the compatibility issues. I recommend downloading the Adrenalin 25.4.1 version directly from AMD's site and installing that to fix the problem. Here's the link: https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/graphics/radeon-rx/radeon-rx-5000-series/amd-radeon-rx-5500-xt.html
That’s the version I already have, though. Maybe I need to do a deeper clean?
No, it’s not modded. Just a pre-download from Steam.
