I have an iPhone 16 that just went black out of nowhere while it was on my desk. It wasn't in direct sunlight or near any magnets. I noticed it after a few minutes of leaving it there. I can still feel notifications and haptic feedback, but the screen is completely black. I've tried force restarting it multiple times with no luck. The phone has never been dropped and has always been well taken care of. I'm really confused about what could have caused this, especially since the phone is still relatively new. What options do I have for getting it checked out, and how much might a repair cost?

It sounds like your iPhone 16 isn't actually out of warranty since it just came out last September. Apple warranties last for one year, so you should definitely still be covered. I'd recommend taking it to your nearest Apple Store for a diagnosis. They usually offer repairs there or can direct you to an authorized repair center if needed.
You're not alone; many people have had issues like this. It’s great that you have haptic feedback, which suggests it could be a display issue rather than something more serious. I'd go to an Apple Store and explain what’s happening. They can give you an estimate on repairs, but costs can vary widely depending on the issue.
Right? I've heard some displays can be expensive to replace, but it's worth getting their official take on it.
Yeah, definitely check with Apple first! They might even be able to fix it quickly if it's a common issue.
