My Laptop Can’t Connect to the Internet After a Recent Update, What Should I Do?

I ran a Windows update on my laptop last night, and ever since it restarted, I haven't been able to connect to the internet. My laptop was working fine before the update. I've tried rebooting both my laptop and the router, but other devices can still connect without a problem, so the issue seems to be with my laptop itself. Any suggestions?

If you can, try connecting your laptop directly with an Ethernet cable. That way, Windows might be able to pull down whatever updates or drivers it needs to fix the issue. You could also connect your phone to your laptop via USB and share its internet connection.

First off, check if your laptop can even see your Wi-Fi network. Sometimes it can mess up the Wi-Fi adapter after an update. If it's not showing your network at all, that might be your issue! But if it only shows flight mode, that’s definitely a red flag. You might have to dig into the settings a bit more.

Another option is to uninstall any recent updates. Sometimes updates can mess things up, and rolling them back might solve the problem. You can usually find that option under your settings.

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll give these a try and see if they work.
