My Monitor Isn’t Displaying Anything – Help!

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a bind here. I've been using Linux Bazzite on my PC for around two weeks without any issues. This morning, I turned my PC on and set it to convert some video files from WMV to MP4 before heading out to work. When I got back, the PC was still running, but my monitor was off. I tried to turn it back on, but all I see is a 'no signal' message. I've forced a restart by holding down the power button, but that didn't help either. I've even swapped out the cable with a different one, but still no luck. I would really appreciate any advice on what might be going on!

It sounds like your GPU might have crashed or your system froze during the conversion. Try doing a hard shutdown by holding the power button for about 5–10 seconds and then boot it back up. If you still get no signal, consider trying a different monitor or using a different port like HDMI or DisplayPort. Also, check if the Caps Lock key on your keyboard lights up – it can help you gauge whether your system is responsive or completely frozen. If there’s still no display, testing the onboard video port can be a good way to troubleshoot.

I did a hard shut down, but it didn’t fix anything. The Caps Lock light doesn’t come on, which is weird. The monitor did show a message saying 'a display port connection has been detected, no signal' when I plugged the DP cable back in, but I still can’t get it to work. Should I try a different graphics card?
